The main thing that ticked us off - our entrees were given incorrectly to another table. They sat there for at least 10 to 15 mins. The other table, not knowing started eating our dish. When the fault was detected , quess what the staff did? They just removed the plates from the wrong table and placed them on ours. They were cold and had been started by the people at the other table. When I complained and said I wanted a new, fresh plate of the meal that had been eaten by the other diners, the staff were none too happy. They removed the offending dish - waited a while and returned the exact same plate. It was cold and had the same look as the offending dish. We ate it but were none too pleased. I know the restaurant were happy that they got one up on us - but you know what? you didn't really win. There are other Indian restaurants in and around Berwick who when you leave - you feel full and satisfied - not hungry and annoyed. I suggest you go visit them to learn. Please review and adjust the ratio of scarce proteins to the overly represented sauces - which are unquestionably delicious. Also go back to the first principle in hospitality - Please the customer - don't treat us like fools!

This place needs some PROFESSIONAL PR attention, the Chef needs to stay in the kitchen and the wait staff need some training.

The food at the Courthouse Berwick was beautiful in flavour but each dish really was just a dish of sauce. There was hardly any chicken in the Butter Chcken; hardly any lamb in the Rogan Josh. We ordered a dish with potato balls in it - there were 4 of us and we were only provided with 2 potato balls. How much is an extra two potato balls? The overall impression was one of being stingy. Not value for money at all. .

The Courthouse was featured on The Chopping Block last year and after a visit you may begin to understand why it struggles so.

There is nothing to set this restaurant apart from the rest of the dining options in Berwick.

The building is historically significant and quite beautiful. The fit-out inside is just off the mark. Is it casual or fine dining? I know that the restaurant is trying to change its image and move away from fine dining, but it would be so nice to have a great fine dining restaurant in this building.

I was so happy when the courthouse/legal themed menus went, but the marketing emails are of a similar tone and make me cringe. A recent Valentine's offer of a pearl necklace with a booking(!) - if the food and the service are exceptional then promotional offers aren't necessary.
